Saw it last night and ... well mixture of delight and disappointment. Some great effects (although I think the volume wasn't as high in the cinema as it should have been, so it lost a bit there). But ... well ... to put it bluntly Lucas fails to get the most out of the emotional turmoil that Anakin and Obi Wan are going through.
Also it ties up all (well almost all) of the loose ends - but the other side of the coin is that we know what happens, so we're just seeing how it happens. I think that having seen it once it's worth a second viewing just to enjoy it.
If as Lucas claims it's a Saturday matinee serial then you have to admit that it's a cracking episode on that level - but please a bit more emotion guys.
The main disappointment was that Pizza Hut was closed, so family outing didn't start too well.
There were some cracking trailers though - looking forward to Fantastic Four, but I tell you what, trailer for The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe looks very impressive - can't wait.
The other thing I can't wait for is getting the Sith DVD so that we can run a marathon all 6 episodes showing - couldn't make the London big screen showing.
