How many people out there did phone the Capital HitLine all those years ago??? I think it was for "Life in the City". I know of five people now who had their finger on the re-dial (and it wasn't that easy all those years ago when there was no re-dial button)?

I did too - multiple calls with disguised voices. Then I met up
with someone who worked really high up at Capital who told
me that sometimes only 9 people would call in on any one day
and they'd have to make it all up. I was also rather
embarrassed to hear myself over and over again. Sorry if I've
shattered any illusions - it never was anywhere nearly as
famous as we thought ! ATF and Writz did rather well out of it
though.

You're right - but it was passed on by the public relations chap at Make Poverty History in response to a who do we contact enquiry. We do need addresses/contacts that are more likely to produce results, but it seems that we have precious little to go on at the moment... unless you know different!!! Smile

It seems like Live8 do not want people contacting them as the media email address seems to be the only one on their website - that's the quandary that we're in. And if that's the only email they have given out ...!!!!
