What about "Since You've Been Gone" (Rainbow) or "Bad" (U2, Live verison, Live Aid 85). If you want something more keyboardy then it's got to be "Fanfare for the Common Man" (ELP) or if you really want to get rocking "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" (Elton John).

Just looking at my suggestions shows how old I am, I can't believe that some of these are in excess of thirty years old.

I'm not sure how the voals go for Fanfare! The best Elton John track is Funeral for a Friend from Yellow Brick Road EJ doesn't sing on that one!

A lot of material that is being released today has a certain retro feel - perhaps todays bands are beginning to realize what rock is all about
