The volume and bass are in good working order but the treble's gone.

Is it my joke people don't get? Sorry to have to explain it, but ...
Manchester United are running away with the premiership. They were also in the FA Cup and Champions League semi-finals. They had started to brag about how they were getting the treble this season, but then they got knocked out of the FA Cup.
