A man went to the doctors' and the GP told him that he
would need to have a brain transplant. Because this sort
of surgery is at the pioneer stage, it was not available
on the NHS and the man would have to go private.
The man went to the specialist, who said that he could
offer him one of three brains. The first was a school
teacher's brain which cost £20,000, the second was a
professor's brain which cost £30,000. The third was the
brain of Nick Kent, the NME journalist who gave ATF a bad
review in the early days and inspired the song "One Rule
for You". That brain cost £100,000.
The man asked, "Why is Nick Kent's brain so much more
expensive than the other two?"
The specialist replied, "That's because it's virtually
unused."
