WHY???????

I can get Windows running on a PC.

Did it today. Twice, in fact.

Macs are cool. But why would I want to run windows on it.

For fun?

Better things to do in my house.

For many, "because you can" is enough!

However, there is a certain attraction in being able to use a rock solid OS
for the most part and then when the occasion arises to be able to swap
out to a PC app that isn't available on the mac, say 'Access'.

As primarily a mac user who has occasion to use PC's, I will do it once the
process is solid enough.

Right now there are thermal issues ie Windows is not addressing the
temperature of the dual core processor and starting the fans like it
should. Give them two or three months and they'll have it sorted.

Hey guys,

I have three PC's running in my house 1 dual core Pentium running xp pro 64bit, and 2 running xp pro standard - all rock solid no problems.

I did have vista ctp5038.17 but it did have have issues so will be installing .60 build soon which some say is very close to final build.

[gloves on]

I appreciate Macs are the business, and PCs do have some problems, however.....it's a bit of a cheap shot to say Macs are rock solid and imply PCs aren't. I have PC (admittedly home built) which has been up and running for 2 years with NO problems whatsoever. I even edited and mastered an ATF DVD. No probs at all.

Your'll be telling me playing guitar left-handed is much more reliable than right-handed next!!!!

Now boys! Each to his own. I learnt to play a left handed guitar upside down and I can play the chords both ways now equally badly but I have found natural coloured guitars are better than painted ones. (Even than blue Fender Basses)
