Well, what can I say......
The Burgess Hill show was fantastic. The venue was perfect with its massive stage. The sound was excellent, and the show was rocking.
The first half started off with 1980f, getting people on their feet, then into High Fashion, which was one of the songs I have not heard them do live before, along with Love Will Always Make You Cry (this obviously means that none of us guessed what song had not been done live, before the tour started!)
For One Rule Rob played an oil can guitar, yes, made out of an oil can ! The first set finished off with my favourite Life in the City.
In the second half I got to hear my second favourite, Sailing Ship, followed by Carry me Home, then Rob's You & the up beat, feel good, Dungeon Ghyl. Der Kommissar got everyone on their feet, and still love to hear John's guitar solo in Billy Billy.
Rob was bouncing all over the stage (and audience), especially for Wild West Show, when he came on wearing a hat and jumped off the stage and ran around the audience.
There were a couple of great solo drumming bits from Tim (you really need to move that symbol from right in front of your face, or is it there because you are hiding from us !!)
Ian reminds me of John Deacon from Queen, plays his bass while bouncing on the spot in the corner !
Last but not least, Mr Banksy (love the tee shirt), who, as always produced some fantastic keyboard playing for us. Although there was one point where he came on in his tee shirt and the rest of the band came and sat in the audience, Peter was left alone and didn't know where they had all gone . Very cruel and I think they should all get detention (was funny though), although Colin filled in nicely !!
All in all a very good show, great energy, I was buzzing for hours later.
Good to meet you Mark (Mograguel) and Miles, (they were explaining how their vinyl 12" and single covers were used for the CBS recordings CD cover).
Was nice to chat to ATF fans and hear their history behind becoming fans etc. which I hadn't really done before at a show, but as I was selling the merchandise for ATF, it gave me a good opportunity to chat to people. Even the lady selling the Fair Trade merchandise knew ATF from years ago because she liked the single Der Kommissar. There were also a lot of comments on how Rob (or should I call him Ron !) is a great front man for ATF.
Jennie, you will love the show when they get to Cambridge.
Richard (Richster64) fantastic photos, thanks for sharing them with us.
Think I have said enough...... sort of.....
This is Zippy signing off and still loving ATF.
Well done guys, absolutely blinding show.
