Yep Rob, definately! :-)

Oooh, while I remember, I have a set of pictures of ATF's new backing dancer, Charlotte, when she was on stage.

Obviously I can't post on a public forum, so if the parent/guardian would like contact me, I can arrance for them to be seen.  What a moment!

Some good reviews again (I attended the Leeds gig). Sounds as though it was well organised and decently supported. How many were there? How did that compare with last year? Did quite a few come from distance? I expect so. Everyone, can we keep it going into 2010? I hope so!

To answer your question lufcman80f ...

There were 88 in the audience this year, an increase of 20+ on last year, which was great.  I spoke to a few people who lived up to an hour's drive away, but the majority of bookings were online, so I wouldn't know about them.  If most people who came to the gigs could try and bring a friend, that would be good, wouldn't it?!  I'm sure some do already ...

Jennie

PS 'Block', do you remember our conversation?!  I forgot said article on Saturday but will bring on Sunday!!

Thanks for your response about audience numbers and 'provenance' (where they came from!).

You're right about bringing friends (and family). For the last few gigs in the north/midlands I've come with my wife and son. My wife knew the original band but had never seen them until the re-formation. She's now seen them three times, and got a kiss off Pete Banks last month in Leeds! Indeed, the band members have always been perfectly charming and friendly with the family, which makes them great for groups of all ages. My son Joe first saw them when 13 and came with me all the way from Notts to Dagenham (his favourite track then was Dancing in the Shadows).

If a future tour didn't come up near here, I'd certainly travel as far as Cambs to a gig such as yours. I wouldn't dare miss a tour unless well nigh impossible!

I trust you'll beat 100 next year...

Now we all know that even the oldest band members are only just into middle age! Talking of which, Debbie Harry is 64 and still going strong; there's talk of Blondie making another record. So, ATF have a long way to go.
