Ah Timestar, didn't realise who you were. Yes, the iron has worked on the wrinkles !! My pic on facebook is from my trip on the Orient Express, and yes, nice crystal.

Don't worry Banksy, I won't let on that I am really 300 years old with 25 years worth of face lifts and the first ever body transplant !!

I like both versions of One Rule. Bought the single in red vinyl when it first came out in the 70's, but my first boyfriend inherited it when we broke up. Still have my orange vinyl Laser Love single though.

Curiously, I am also 47, and have been for some time.

Well, what with all the gooey stuff going on over on "Download" I should think he's probably writhing by now! Hey Zippy, have you noticed that you're a Roadie now?!

Dominion, I appreciate your view, but since you've started researching "hum drum" on Forum, I can only assume a certain amount of tongue in cheek on your part..?  Wink  I suppose we do tend to get distracted, but that's part of the human element! We are a wonderfully varied selection of personalities , and although I personally try to keep reasonably on course... I also enjoy the other interaction and banter that goes on - it helps just as much against hum drum! Humour is also a part of ATF.

What I love about this forum is the mutual respect, and obviuos friendship between many dedicated ATF followers and music-lovers. Compare that with the foul-mouthed abuse that goes on on many youtube comment postings -it horrible! The thing is, in amongst all the distractions and irrelevant comments and exchanges, there's also a great wealth of knowledge, memories, and interest, with a live and kicking band at the centre, who aren't just history!

I appreciate your imput as much as anybody's, and can understand your desire for a little more focus . Lets just keep the balance - Heaven forbid that we should take ourselves too seriously!

Cheers,   Seagull

I have to agree with Seagull at how nice it is to have this forum, and it's predecessor on egroups. I remember being completely alone when I first approached Andy in the 90's. I gave him a tape of stuff I'd found and he was knocked out by it. Then one evening I had a call out of the blue from someone who's voice was familiar, but I couldn't quite place. He'd got a copy of the tape from Andy and started talking about material I'd never heard. I was thinking, 'who is this'. It was Peter. Soon after, we'd salvaged the early reels, and I'd put up the Friends archive. Mick came along, and the Banksy birthday bash happened. And Friends slowly came in from the cold. Friends reunited!

The scenario we have today, of new material and old releases seemed utterly impossible back then. Believe me, it did. I'm astonished at how much progress has occurred. There's been a lot of healing, too.

Ooops, off topic.

Am serious for 10 hours a day at work, but once I am out of the door, seriously, the mad hat comes on !!

Its nice to chat to people on the forum, people who have memories from the same era. Not to mention that we have all been brought together by one thing. After the Fire.

So whether the chat is about ATF of not. Its nice to chat.

Didn't know I was a Roadie now, still want to be a Groupie though!

Mr Gnome, if you have been 47 for a while, are you still alive !!   (are you the original laughing Gnome)

I'm a Gnome-ad. I went to the London School of Eco-gnome-ics. And I now work for the Gnome- Office.

Actually. A smug point to whoever knows where my Ident comes from.
