Thanks for the insight Jules

I did know that you had a lot of input on the freinds website way back when but to know the background is very interesting
Especially the story of the stuff you found (I think it is documented elsewhere on the forum)

I have to agree with Seagull at how nice it is to have this forum, and it's predecessor on egroups. I remember being completely alone when I first approached Andy in the 90's. I gave him a tape of stuff I'd found and he was knocked out by it. Then one evening I had a call out of the blue from someone who's voice was familiar, but I couldn't quite place. He'd got a copy of the tape from Andy and started talking about material I'd never heard. I was thinking, 'who is this'. It was Peter. Soon after, we'd salvaged the early reels, and I'd put up the Friends archive. Mick came along, and the Banksy birthday bash happened. And Friends slowly came in from the cold. Friends reunited!

The scenario we have today, of new material and old releases seemed utterly impossible back then. Believe me, it did. I'm astonished at how much progress has occurred. There's been a lot of healing, too.

Ooops, off topic.

I'm amazed to see some of my favourite ATF songs appearing in this thread, so I'll see if I can post someone else's favourite! For a long time, Sailing Ship was my least favourite ATF song. But then I bought Signs of Change - I'm really not a prog rock fan.

What does your mad hat look like, Zippy? As for being a Roadie, I guess that's going to cut down on your free time a bit, especially on tour.LOL

Yeah, don't know how I will fit it all in. Being a Roadie/Groupie and selling the CD's ! Have you not seen my hat at the mad hatters party !?

I lend them to Rob during Wild West Show, there are a few different ones !

Zippy hugs to all ATF forum members

Onlinegenie if you don't mind! I no longer follow non-league football, so re-registered with a new name.

Whipper snapper? Am I allowed to use the expression "old fart" on this board? I turned 50 in November!

I briefly liked prog rock during my teenage years but it didn't last. I'm mainly a rock fan (especially The Who).

I really don't like the last four or five bars of the live versions of JOY and STARFLIGHT (Cos it usually means the concert is coming to an end!!!!)

...unless its The Radio Sessions (for JOY), and then you're at the beginning! Infact, its an Alpha & Omega thing with those two tracks, which can't be a bad thingSmile

What do they tend to open with these days? I've seen a recent gig list somewhere, but its easier to ask... and it keeps things moving when the forum is quiet!
