If you look at the UK it does seem like a lizard stood up on its rear legs (I know it probably couldn't but go with it anyway) Scotland is obviously the head, Cornwall the tail, Humberside the short front arms, Norfolk the tummy!!! and wales the backpack where it carries its camping gear for when it goes on holiday. Loch Ness its eye, the Pennines the backbone and Dover area the front feet.

I've got it now! It's a laughing lizard with big knees, isn't it..? Can you explain to us which bit Mersea Island is, or is that not family viewing?

should diet. My good friend Paul Poulton dis see a poster
advertising his concert on a bus as he drove to the venue
and announced it was now true he had a face like the back
of a bus!

What a lot of Yorkshiremen, and yes, you certainly remain one if you've left! John was born in Holmfirth and has always returned to visit family, though he only lived in Huddersfield for a few months.  Since I was born a few miles from the South Coast we've always had a friendly graaass/grass, baaath/bath debate!  Once his grandmother thought I was talking a foreign language when I mentioned the caaastle!

Chasing you, Maggie!

Off on another tangent....bus posters.
I once followed a double decker in heavy traffic past Earl's Court. It had a floor-to-ceiling poster on the back featuring a girl wearing a bra. Promoting the bra, I assume. But...the stickers-on of the poster had managed to arrange it so that right at the focal point, if I may put it that way, of the featured underwear was the engine cover label that said "pull to open".
Certainly captured my attention....!

A sticky subject, shouldn't be allowed on the grounds of road safety?!

Made a mundane job a bit more intellectually challenging, I suppose!
