Jennie and Maggie, I think its time to get serious! I've worked hard to get this far, with ne'erso much as a a slice of spam to keep me going. I wouldn't know one if it came and slapped me in the face! You must remember this is a serious forum for serious people - the sort who do the Telegraph crossword, and mus't be disturbed. People who never stray from the subject! All that chatter is very distracting - and I'm getting seriously worried that you'll catch me up soon!

Somebody promised us seagulls cakes . Who was it?

Sorry Seagull but I think you are getting your sketches mixed up the face slapping was done with fish. Please don't take this post as a criticism it's not the Spanish Inquisition (which of course nobody expects the Spanish Inqisition)

Sorry Seagull you've got it wrong this was never a serious forum for serious people, I'm not sure about the Telegraph bit (please check with the men from Yorkshire, they know more than me), the whole point is to stray from the subject, the more often the better!!!

After my last post I got slapped in the face with a meddlesome, interfering SPAM warning! So stuff serious! (not that I ever really was - I'm just worried about those two grizzled ladies catching me up). (OK. Colin's not as far as I know, a grizzled lady...)

I hereby slap Spam warning with above mentioned fish, and warn that I will retaliate with the comfey chair (however you spell it!)

Is luncheon meat just an upmarket form of spam? Has anyone ever had a luncheon meat warning?

Oh no, Seagull, not serious, you don't know what you're asking .  Stop the darkness creeping up on me, all this thinking's not good for my brain .  I want to take my father's hand and feel the rushing of the wind to know the joy.  That enough of a taste?!!
