now if the gig was in my part of the world accommodation was ready and waiting! hot and cold running water, broadband connection to ATF, and yours truly as host

I think I'd need to find something nearer than Basingstoke! (you must be talking about the Winchester Gig.) If anyone is attending Kingsmeadow, and is willing to offer a floor for the night, in the spirit of ATF Fellowship, I'd be gratefully interested...

My wife (bearer of the credit card) has helped me book a flight and a ticket to the Kingston gig, so it looks like Seagull will be riding on the wings of Easy Jet on Nov 19th - she said its a birthday present!
I hold Mark, Tim, Ian and Wendy all responsible for this development, but as one of them said "you only live once"....
There's no getting out of it now (unless that volcano blows again!)
Have a great start in Winchester tomorrow (..I mean today!)

Having bought me a ticket, my wife observed, at breakfast, that this is exactly not the sort of thing we want to encourage our chidren to do - meeting up with "virtual" unknowns! Of course, she's right; you might all really be Mafia, posing as ATF groupies & roadies. Well, I've got Zippy's videos as proof of the band's existence, but there again, look at the one of Dancing in the Shadows... Mafia, or what?? And I keep getting this feeling that Der Kommisar is following me around, and I darn't turn around... The whole thing could be a long term set up.... Ian Niblo ia an annagram of 'I boil ann' ... did he??
Only one way to find out.....

Wow,
What a weekend you did it!!!......Chuffed to bits your coming over...and really looking foreward to meeting you.
You would be welcome to stay at mine but that is not anywhere near the Kingsmeadow gig.
I will be dossing down with the wife at the Ma in laws in Surrey for this one,having dropped my little one off at her's earlier.
Orsett Village, essex is my usual place of origin which isn't going to be of much use this time round.
I do believe you will smash the existing record for attendance miles for an ATF2 gig...Which I think is currently held by Mike 1st gear.
I really hope that everyone makes an effort to come to this one and not only see the greatest band on earth but also Seagull in the flesh.
Getting excited already.
