Anyway........... moving on, we had a really good session in the CA tent and I hope it made up for the Koch up! Thanks 2 everyone who turned up. Apaprt form the obvious, I loved it and loved seeing everyone movin' and a goovin' (and screaming!) I hope we did OK. I'm really sorry about DK, but hope u enjoyed the rest of it. Kxx

No we won't mention DK - but we're all entitled to make mistakes, provided we learn from them.

North Stage gig was pretty good (excepting DK), but the short set meant difficult song selection, especailly wanting to fit in two new songs and single. I met one or two who were disappointed at not more old material. Life in the City was great, once sound balance sorted (set opener). Then Wildflower -still think the recorded version has a bit extra. Dancing in the Shadows - always loved it. Forged from Faith - looking forward to the single. Laser Love was great (once Microsoft sorted!!). And Starflight a fitting climax. It was noticeable how average age of fans at front increased dramatically after Quench and Steve and had played theirs sets before ATF.

The real highlight though was the CA Tent, with some Q&A and some brilliant acoustic renditions - would you believe Billy Billy with a balalaika solo!!!! Bursts of Here on my Island and Pilgrim. Forged from Faith, Laser Love, Who's gonna love you, the single (obviously), and would you believe Joy - with Matt busting a gut to drum on a single African drum - FANTASTIC!!!!!!! It was certainly different, but it was GREAT! And great FUN! Well appreciated by the crowd that packed the tent.

Looking forward to next year, hopefully! With more fans added as the next single comes out... and album???

Greetings all!!

The Norht Stage set was strictly limited to 40mins, some of the old songs had to be cut - sorry.

Another very noticeable thing about North Stage - the crowd filtered to less than half once the band finished playing.  Thank you to everyone, old fans and new, for turining up.

Laser Love and Starflight rocked!!

Absolutely! Laser Love was a stonker, and rescued it after shhh you know what. And Starflight was a real belter!

Realised that the tiime would be limited, it just left you wanting a lot more!

I got the impression that there were quite a few people who came to hear ATF at North Stage who probably hadn't heard them this line-up, so let's hope they pick up again, and that we see them on this Forum!!!

The other factor with festival performances is that change-round and soundchecks (if any), are so rushed. It must make it very difficult to perform. I guess it gets the adrenaline going, which is great when it's going well, but not so good otherwise.
