WOO  HOOOOO!!!!  I just found out (late Friday night) that I CAN make it to the gig tomorrow!!!  I am in a day long recording session but I'm assured we will be finished by about 6 pm giving me plenty of time to bomb up the A3 from Pompey!  In addition I just sold my season ticket for the Man Utd match so I can afford it!

So...are there tickets left and can I reserve 2 for the door (I'll bring my son - assuming kids are allowed???)  I don't have a credit card so I don't think I can buy using the online service can I?

Can someone reply, please - either here or email me privately.

thanks, Marc

Just got home through the fog on the M25/M20! Excellent tonight - we took someone who hadn't seen the band before and she really enjoyed it! We missed being in a tie-break for the pop quiz by 1 point, having scored 49, but the one point would have meant knowing either Madonna's first dance hit, or something about Barbara Streisand, so I prefer sticking with 49 really.... WHEN IS THE NEXT GIG?

PS Is this the first ATF gig to feature a raffle and folding tables???

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all you good folks that made it to
the gig last night in Cranleigh and supported SoapBox in so doing.

You are very special people. The affection you show for the band is
extraordinary and we all feel very privileged to have been a part of your
lives for so long.

Please check out the After The Fire website: www.afterthefire.co.uk from
time to time for news about the band including as stated last night, the
new, yet to be recorded album, “Forged From Faith”.

You can find out more about my involvement with the third world here:

Warmest regards,

John Russell

PS You're probably right about the raffle and folding tables so maybe you
did make it to 50!!

What a great night out! Even the dodgy B&B, the £70 taxi fare and the 400+ mile round journey back to the sunny North East didn't dim the brilliance of the event.

Thanks for letting us hang around until the taxi came guys! Apparently taxis are the only way to get about down there and they were all booked solid until after midnight  so we had visions of spending a cold evening on the streets of Cranleigh!

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait until the next one.

49 points was good - but not good enough.  We enjoyed the  sweets as we sang Barbara Streisand songs all the way home and ribbed Richard for answering all the questions himself.

The pop quiz winners verdict: "best £10 spent this year".  Fantastic to hear the band again and Keith did a great job as himself rather than imitating Mr Piercy.  Best bit for me though was John's Billy Billy guitar solo.  Truly evocative.

When do we get to see the lyrics for Forged by Faith?  This slightly ageing and deaf man missed some of them.

See you at the next one... looking forward to the mapreading challenge already!

Last night was great, i really enjoyed myself!

Especially winning that huge, oragne fox thing! but i decided instead of keeping it all for myself, i so generously gave it away to a little girl next to me who, throughout the raffel was threatening to kill anyone who got it instead of her! so summing up the pro's and con's of keeping it, i gave it away!

Just like to say that you old rockers do still have it! and as for my lovely matty, he did me very.....very proud!

Looking forward 2 the next one!

Old rockers, old fans, new fans and family fans alike! I had a fantastic view from the balcony (I'm sure there were more people up there than the "legal" 35 limit that the notice said). Sadly I feel too old to stand at the front anymore - maybe next time! Oh yeah and next time I will bring a packed lunch.
