If we're going really old, how about Gravy Train - they played GB 75 on the same night as Aleksander John, Garth Hewitt, Liberation Suite and AtF.

Alternatively you could go for some real class such as Seawind, Richie
Furay Band, Techno Twins, Michael Omartian, Steve Taylor, Bruce
Cockburn, Resurrection Band, etc etc

yeah, michael omartian's WHITE HORSE is a classic. all the steeley dan/Los Angeles sessions guys at ABC records played on it...
and randy matthews SON OF DUST on myrrh had some stonking tracks too. rock-funk before it ws invented.
& what about peter case? gordon giltrap?
