Hi,

Wrong Peter here, but I can answer that one!  iTunes allows you to choose MP3s of 128, 160 or 192kbps, or to save tracks as AAC files.  The options list also gives you a choice of "WAV encoder", which I've never selected but which presumably gives you the choice of downloading the track uncompressed - might be worth checking that out if you've got broadband!

Hope that helps!

Peter (D)

Thanks for all the technical info, I will try and get an interpretation. On the subject of wind up cakes does Chloe do a clockwork orange cake?

Hey Guy's just downloaded iTunes 5 hmmmm

and just downloaded a single boy is this confusing or what!

There was no option to chose what compression wav/mp3/aac. It came down as a m4p (protected apple format) ahhhhhhhh

Tried to convert to aac "can not convert" protected message came up

This is just what i thought might happen with Apple!

Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong or is it that you can only download from the store in apples own format m4p  and is  protected

And the only encoding you can do is with your cd's

Have now heard back, with profuse apologies, that iTunes has a backlog, should be uploaded later this week.
