Hey, who is going to the Manchester gig?
I can't make it to that gig, so need a volunteer to give us all a review.
Pretty please

I thought I was going, then I found out I'd be working that night.......
...... BUT, I'm working at the gig!!! For anyone who is going to be there, do come and see me on the Dalit Freedom Network UK stand. We're campaigning to end the trafficking of India's Dalits (untouchables), who make up almost half of the 27 million people around the world who are trafficked into modern slavery. Check out our website www.dfn.org.uk

How I'd love to get to that gig, but I'll just have to dig out my No Sham LP
and then try to find something to play it on.
Of course, I could also dig out my ATF LPs too!!
And my Larry Norman, Exodus, Daniel Amos, Keith Green, Love Song,
Parchment, Graham Kendrick, Nutshell, Randy Stonehill, Adrian Snell,
Ishmael and Andy, Rev Counter and the Speedoze, Ishmael United,
Malcolm and Alwyn, Alwyn Wall Band, Giantkiller, Edwin Hawking Singers,
etc LPs.
Not forgetting Biggles' Band!!??!!
I'm doing this from memory.....who've I left out?
Any suggestions on what I should've bought back in that era of CCM?

In my ignorance, Maggie, I'm not sure if CCM is a record label or whether it stands for Classic Christian Music ...?
However , does Norman Barratt belong in that list? I saw him at 'The Sheep Roast' near High Wycombe in '82 (I think) - along with 100% Proof, and also at Greenbelt. "Playing in the City" is a powerful album - havn't had it or heard it for...a long time!

Jennie, I think you might mean Sheila Walsh. (Afraid I wasn't too keen)
Oh yes, I have a Norman Barrett Band LP too.
I realise that my last post could well take this thread waaaay 'off piste', so
please don't forget to say whether you're going to be able to get to
Manchester for THE GIG OF THE YEAR (in my humble opinion).
CCM, Seagull, I always though that it meant contemporary Christian
music, but you may be right!! Anyway, for this little exercise, your
explanation is probably more appropriate!!
I realise that I should have Narnia and Zip Codes LPs in my collection, but
I hadn't even heard of them before I joined this site!!
Oh, 2nd Chapter Acts, as well.
Yikes, I'm old!!

Ah, MJ, as well as working hard you can take notes to do a lovely review for us .
Maggie, Jennie and Seagull, I don't know any of those names, apart from Larry and I&A.
Was I in the Zip Codes ?!

Been reminded that Norman Barrett's most respected band was
called 'Gravy Train'... remember seeing them at an early
Greenbelt.
