Hi Guys

Really looking forward to the end-of-tour gig at Billericay on Sunday 6th.  Saw the boys in Halesworth: low in numbers but high in entertainment.  Cracking night and a great venue.

Don't forget we're raising funds for 'Just Care' www.justcare.org on Sunday - a charity working with orphans and children in Uganda - so please be generous with your dosh.  I'm a trustee so can guarantee your money will be well spent.

For those who are travelling some distance, drive well and I look forward to meeting up, again, with all the ATF fans in the South East.

Be blessed

Rector Paul

PS. It's our 23rd wedding anniversary on Sunday (I know, I don't look old enough) so some kind words to Paula would be very welcome indeed (even a dedication from the stage but NOT: 'Who's gonna love you ...' please!)  Paula doesn't know I've posted this so be warming and affirming and she'll think ATF fans are just the bestest!

Having been to the Leeds gig, I'm jealous to see that Billericay becomes the centre of the universe this Sunday. It's pleasing that the end of tour is tied in with a good cause such as this. Time for Rob to get his oil-can guitar out again for 'One Rule'!

Good causes have certainly been the theme running through the tour (although not as much the northern event) and provides a great impetus for the Band, those sponsoring the gigs and those planning on going along. Hope the attendance is good.

Yes, I can see that 'Who's gonna love you...' could ruin even the most (previously) perfect of marriages. 'Help!'? Tricky to negotiate, although the words are okay. 'Love will always make you cry'? No (it doesn't always)...  'Time to Think'? Could send out the wrong message... 'It's Over'? Definitely not... 'Rich Boys' is good for any woman married to a minister (who can't 'go where the rich boys go'). 'Stand By Me'? Getting better. 'Laser Love' Yes, much more promising. I know... 'J-O-Y'!!! Let us know what happens.

I think maybe ' Joy ' from ATF (ie. the joy of being married for 23 years), or Rob's 'You. Its a beautiful song and I couldn't wait for it to be recorded on CD.

But, Paul...... maybe you should persuade the guys to do a version of Paul Anka's 'Hey Paula' with yourself and Paula doing the vocals !!!

Wendy

Hey Guys

Like the ideas - keep them coming.  Never thought about a choice of song, however, thinking about it: 'Your love is alive' or even 'Why can't we be friends' however, lufcman, thinking on the theme of a shortage of cash, perhaps 'Short Change' could be a good one!   Or should it be 'One rule for you!' or even 'I don't understand your love!' Better stop there as I fear that I could be digging a very big hole for myself.

I think I've settled on 'Suspended Animation' because Paula is as wonderful today as she was in 1986 .... (Aaah or Ugh - whichever you prefer).

Wendy it was 'Hey Paula' by Paul and Paula which charted in June 1963.  We know it and (saddo that I am) it's on my ipod and the kids know it, too.

bestest to all

Paul

Aah, not Paul Anka then  !

My mum has it on 7" vinyl and used to play it all the time.

Saying that, if it was by Paul and Paula.... was it you !?

1963.... excellent year!

Just back from the concert now.

Absolutely fantastic!  I'll leave it to Zippy to write one of her excellent reviews in detail, but from where I was standing (and that was all over the place!), it was absolutely amazing.

Signs of Change - Great!  JP and the gang were in fine form.

ATF - Absolutely stunning!

Venue - first class, excellent hospitality again, thankyou Paul & Paula.

Photos to follow tomorrow at some point :-)

Brilliant!  Well done everyone, and...

Thankyou!

You did a great job at the back there, and at the front!

Thanks for the Gaffer Tape also...
