It was Zionic Bonds. Peter did the keyboards for Andy McCaroll's earlier solo album Epitapth For A Rebel.
Staying on the subject of the BMB, I had this chat with Bill earlier today. It was a non-linear conversation, so I've condensed it so it makes sense:
Jules Bill, we at the ATF forum are intrigued, are you really doing a gig with ATF in October? We'd not heard about it before the BMB announced it.
Bill Yes as far as I know its been arranged through Simon [Hawthorne] and ATF management. Its a Charity Fundraiser and ATF are in.
Jules Well, how nostalgic will that be. Great fun.
Bill Yeah I am really looking forward to playing with the band again, it should be a blast!
Jules I wanted to ask, apart from a single and the No Sham lp, did you ever get into the studio again?
Bill I did two Children's worship CD's over the past nine years as my alter ego 'Capt Bill', but thats about it. Led a lot of worship gigs for youth and adults at church.
Jules Was the ever a second album considered at the time?
Bill Not really because I moved to the states to get married and we felt that the band had run its course at that time. There was a new song written and we played it live but then once we knew we were splitting up, then we did not write anymore. 100% proof were from Manchester and they played with us a number of times, I knew them quite well. One of the concerts in Manchester is the only live recording of the BMB, but the 100% proof part of the gig was lost! I came back to UK after 4 months married and lived in Stockport, went back into teaching, did some live gigs but nothing serious as far as a new band or more bmb stuff.
Jules Is the CD release of No Sham! going to be from tapes or remastered from vinyl?
Bill Vinyl. I need to get that done for the gig. My daughter is having a baby in a few weeks so when that is done then the CD will be finished, remastered and released.
Jules Kingsway would prob let you have the reel if you asked.
Bill I have the Master tapes from Kingsway on DAT, they gave it to me about 12 years ago for 25 quid. I just asked them and they sent it. In fact I forgot that I had them till you said that!
Jules Then, clearly, I would encourage you to use that, if possible :)
Bill Well good to chat with you, stay in touch, and hopefully we will see you in October.
