Good morning to all you ATFers
Sunday nights show at the Farncombe Cavern was fantastic. The sound was excellent for a small venue, noted by Mr Banksy as the 'front room' !
It was a straight through show, no interval and very hot in there, or was it just because ATF were hot . The set list was arranged a little different this time with a section of Rob songs in the middle, which I think I preferred. He started off with Dungeon Ghyl, then sang a new song, A Thousand Miles, I think it was called. Then into You and Innocence (is it an S or a C !?).
The actual show started with the rocking, Sometimes, and in no particular order, (mainly because I can't remember the order), Billy Billy, Dancing in the Shadows, I Can Say, Life in the City (Yipeeee), Laser Love, Who's gonna love you, Starflight, Joy, Wild West Show, Der Kommissar, High Fashion, Bright Lights, Check it out, a little bit of Take me Higher. I have missed some out, but I am writing this from work, and I go brain dead at work. Don't tell anyone though!
After the Fire never fail to give a good show, and the Farncombe gig was just that. Apart from the music, they are also entertaining, always some funny bits to add to good memories of the show.
I abandoned my camcorder to the tripod and was given Richard's camera to take photos, as he could not make the show. It was very heavy, and to my surprise, I got home to find I had taken 200 photos. I hope there is something good enough for you guys to see, on his website, www.radfoto.co.uk. I have spent the last couple of days editing, analysing and converting my videos of the show, and will put them on the ATF facebook page whenever I can. I have already put Der Kom on there. For some reason it all looks blue!
If you have not seen ATF recently, try to get to a show, check the ATF website for show dates, they are really worth seeing live.
They are 5 very talented musicians and are very together on stage. I am glad I have captured the memories on video to relive the show. If you are not on facebook, Ian has put a link on the Forum for you to see the videos, so you don't need to actually log into FB.
Thank you to Pete, John, Tim, Ian and Rob for a fantastic performance. To JP, Joe, Julian, Sam & Paul for making everything, sound, lighting etc all come together to ensure the smooth running of the show. Also thanks to Andy and his wife (great hosts), the new management at the Farncombe Cavern (if you get a chance, go there). ATF christened the venue as they were the first to play there.
I should also mention that it was a charity gig, for Christian Aid. So thank you to everyone who came. As buying a ticket helped with the charity. I still have some signed photos of the guys if anyone wants to buy them. Cost goes to the charity. They are A5 size and £3.00. Let me know if you want one and I will send it to you.
Love to all ATF fans, you are keeping the dream alive.
Zippy, still absolutely loving ATF xx
