Are we gonna see ATF playing at Greenbelt this year?

I have not been to Greenbelt.

Would like to see what I have missed !

Zippy, do you mind a bit of mud?

I guess some other things have changed in 24 years. I wouldn't wish to unnecessarily scare you with stories of the toilets...

Last time I went, Ivor Twidell and Stewart Henderson were still hosting the main stage. That was fun! And I always enjoyed The Famous Potatoes, playing on the fringe, or busking around. Southend band - Ian must know them

I'm sure you'd enjoy it if you go. There's a great variety.

I have wellies ! Wouldn't mind going just once. As for the toilets... have you been to Egypt, I have ?

On the other hand, that is one place I would never go back to !

Well I suppose if I ever get around to going to Greenbelt, I will have to take my cats litter tray with me!

I love history, and I never got a chance to see the pyamids, would have definitely come home with a cat statue. Was miles too hot for me and was sick from the 1st day I was there, very badly. It has taken around 3 years for the virus to work its way out of my body! I have plans to go to Cyrpus and do a mini cruise over to Egypt to see the pyramids, but will not stay there again or eat the food or drink the water ! Shame really.

Would be willing to wear the wellies and take the litter tray to Greenbelt though!!!

What are you two like........going to be sharing a 2 man tent are we?

Only joking....THE FAMOUS POTATOES.....now theres a great band.Leigh on seas finest.

Didn't think anyone else really heard of them.Seen them over 50 times and never get bored. They even played my school barndance in Upminster for us back in 1984 whilst in the 6th form.

It was brilliant when they used to let me play Zob Stick at their gigs....usually to Chicken reel stomp or 8 more miles to leigh on sea.....

Ah enough self indulgance for now.

Brilliant...off to look at their website.

HEY! Dominion! Glad you came in. We were just trying to keep things going until someone actually THOUGHT ABOUT ANSWERING ZIPPY'S QUESTION!! (hint, hint!). I thought I was the only Famous Potatoes fan. They also understand fun, don't they? An interesting support ban, maybe?? I used to have the "I Like Chicken Pie/Chicken Reel Stomp" 45" - bought the last one at Greenbelt, yonks ago. We had a stand at Greenbelt (Richard Kraus photos) and they were camping next to us. Used to pop in to Richard Baxter's pottery when I lived in Southend.

P.s.If Zippy makes it to Greenbelt she'll have a tray of cat litter in the tent with her, and probably a heap of cameras, so, no room for friends for tea...

Can't resist posting this. I'm a willing ambassador of good German music, and Wir Sind Helden are good (and also understand fun). Although this is in German, the meaning is pretty clear (let's panic!) Just suppose xxxxxxxx does get in tomorrow, for example...

Me, I'm not a political creature particularly! Can't vote with you lot anyway...

Enjoy!  (P.S. If they let me, I'm voting Halligan)

If you've got an original pressing of I like chicken pie/chicken reel stomp it could be worth arround £175.00......It's extremely sought after in folk vinyl collectors circles.A signed copy went in record collector for much more.

Fun all the way with this band....still gigging as well so catch them on tour(rarely a few miles from Sarfend)
