Hope the gigs are going well, Rob and Gareth. On Saturday I see you have to give an extra $ 2 (havn't got a pound sign!) worth of value... I wonder how you measure that - in extra verses?..more spectacular jumps?...(spiders?)

In absence of a european tour, I am importing a smaller, digital version of you. (Something like "Don't try this at home" - was that it?LOL)

All the best.

Hey Rob,

Really pleased that Best Thing That's Happened has won Silver Award for Best Album 2010 at the CBC Awards!

Brilliant

Hiya Zippy

Have a good time at Burgess Hill tomorrow!  It sounds fun.  Hope it's a great evening for everyone.  Looking forward to your review!

Hiya Jenny

Went to St.Johns Church in Hemel Hempstead on Thursday, then to the Martlets on Friday to see Rob & Gareth play.

Its the first time I have heard them singing live together and their voices sound really good. Also the first time I have seen Gareth.

Both nights were excellent.

Was only a small crowd at Hemel, but it didn't stop the show being good, and I got to play the egg on 'Bring em all in'. Think I am now an Eggspert !!

There were a lot of people at The Martlets as 3 bands were playing for Fair Trade. Rob and Gareth were first on and had some new fans after the performance as they came to buy the CD's from me.

4 people asked what CD Rob's new song 'Shaggy' could be found on, but unfortunately its not on CD yet, (its not about a dog!).

The Hemel show ended in a medley of the Monkees I'm a Believer and Love of the Common People, don't know who did this song originally, just know that Paul Young recorded it.

I love Gareth's Broken Things, its a beautiful song.

Got introduced again to Nancy, Simone, Zak and Tash. I will let Rob tell you who they are !  Not met Bertha yet though, think she might be an elephant because Rob says she is a jumbo !

It seems that Richard, Bryony and I have become ATF & Rob groupies !!

Check out Richard's website, loads of photos of the shows, and again the cost of the photos are going to the charity (www.radfoto.co.uk).

Hoping to see you in Cambridge next week if you are going.

Rob, I can't log onto your website, it keeps crashing, so can't add this review to it. Sorry, you will have to do it for me !  Ta.

Thoroughly enjoyed both shows.

This is Zippy signing off (& still loving ATF) xx

Hello Zippy

Thanks for your post.  Well done, I'm glad you've been getting to lots of shows, and I'm trying not to feel envious, especially of your groupie status!!!    I did think about going to Hemel, but I felt cream crackered last week; feeble, I know.  It's rather a long way to Burgess Hill (did you like the other bands?).

I'm glad you enjoyed Rob and Gareth. I think their voices compliment each other beautifully. Yes, I love Broken Things too, it's very moving, and I love Bring 'Em All In.  I also love the sound of the drum-box thing that Rob sits on! The only Bertha I know is Big Bertha: a factory machine in a TV programme once loved by my children!

Of course we're going on Saturday, it's been in the diary for months!  Really looking forward to it.  I hope you do make it up here, it'll be great to see you.

Great photos again, Richard.

Cheers

Jennie

I was very impressed by Zippy's egglaying but decided to pass on the egg jokes.

Was going to say, though, if anyone reading wishes they could go to see Rob and Gareth, there's a great selection of their songs, including Broken Things and Bring 'Em All In, on the most eggscellent '...try this at home', recorded by our very own Banksy.

How are you enjoying your version Seagull?

Jennie
