Yes, thanks, I hadn't got that one AND it's free!!
The CD that I had in mind was The Bridgerow Sessions, which (according to
the sleeve notes) is a selection of songs that MJ and SK have played together,
either in pubic or private, but they left out tracks recorded with TR on the 2
Faith, Folk and Anarchy CDs.
Hmm.....TWO FF&A CDs........... I wonder if.........

Also from me, thanks, Jonathan for that link to Faith, Folk & Anarchy, which I really enjoyed (todays dinner music). Good if you like a bit of gravel! Must look up Phil Beer sometime. That they sing each other's songs, and that ATF also do Are we Alright? exemplifies, along with others common factors that the music scene is often a great community of sharing good things.
P.S. Have just been watching the video for Arrogance and Ignorance and Greed by SOH. The song is powerfully brilliant!

Have you watched the BBC Breakfast interview, Seagull? If not, I think you'd
find it interesting to hear them talk about their video and they also perform
the last verse and chorus of A and I and G.
I revisited Try This At Home, having not listened to it very recently and
although I really like the cd I was again reminded of how much their cover of
Larry Norman's The Outlaw sounded like Malcolm and Alwyn (if you, let alone
Rob or Gareth remember them!!) I find it very pleasant, but a little too sweet
for my taste, when compared to LN's!! But, hey, it's just great that Larry's
songs are kept alive!!

Since we recorded Outlaw together I've started playing it solo. I'm not as good/smooth at fingerstyle guitar as Gareth and the song has developed for me into something a bit rougher. I wont record it but I'll try and get a youTube of it to see what you think. It's funny how songs change as you sing them.

Well, we have to take the rough with the smooth.

Ooooh, thanks, Mr Wild West Rob!!
I think it was the harmonizing vocals that didn't quite do it for me!! (No
offense intended!!)
Mind you, it was sung unusually sweetly by the great man himself, which
was rather unrocknroll!!
Have you come across any of Malcolm and Alwyn's material, or their cover of
The Outlaw, because I think the similarity is very strong, if not perhaps
Gareth has.

For the sake of balance (), I like the harmonies, and find them well chosen. Its what R & G do well, but not over the top. Like you say, Maggie, Larry Norman himself could be as sweet as sugar... although he hat a quick dry wit and a sting in the tail which made it work so well!

Rob, I notice that your Scotland dates start tomorrow - er, today now! All the best for that, and remember, its a kilt, not a skirt, you only put salt in your porridge/porage, and that wierd sounding thing is a bagpipe, not a cat in a tartan vest! Furthermore, we shouldn't stereotype our scottish brothers (and sisters)...
Best Thing Thats Happened turned up today, so have enjoyed that a bit. The version of You surprised me - its really stripped down to its bare bones compared to the other live versions I've heard (e.g. download version). I also discovered the (deliberate?) spelling mistake in the very small print. Has anyone else noticed, or is it just my copy?
Safe travelling, & God bless, Seagull

the guitars and started.
That's some commute.
As for spellings Seagull- I pride myself in my mistikes
Off to Udny Green tonight. It's the place to be apparently!
