Although Hocus Pocus was the most well known track, this is
my favourite the number Tommy based on a Tom Barlage sax
solo. They did pay him composer royalties, but they didn't
tell him in advance what they were going to do.

Oh, yes, I remember this one! Didn't know the politics of it, though!
Anyway, here's a link to a later live performance of Tommy. We see that **** Van Leer can play the flute one handed, whilst also playing keyboards. But he desn't iron ;-) )

At the risk of being boring - but we are on a Focus run - there is also a recent version of "Hocus Pocus", including a six and a half minute drum solo (Mr. Turner take note). It's a bit repetative (I don't mean the drum solo ;-)), but it shows what might happen when someone stays behind their Hammond organ for 40 years...
What Banksy might have been...

Getting back to the original topic.....
I finally decided to download "One Rule", which is not a bad idea, as I can seperate out the two bands' concerts. Havn't yet listened to BMB, but I think the ATF gig is a worthy representation of the band on top form in their present glory. Although I wasn't at that gig, it's good to have a quality audio CD of something similar to the Kingston experience.
Having had a chance to watch some vintage ATF footage recently, I'm beginning to come round (at the risk of being shot down by the purists) to appreciating Banksy's justification of his Tyros keyboard. Much as we love the crazy nature of the Multimoog, it certainly does have some tuning issues (witness "High Fashion" at Dingwells), sometimes coming over a bit thin, and the Tyros does give a pretty good sound in most cases. Also, I gather that the CS80 weighs a ton, whilst Banksy's roadies can carry his Tyros under one arm and PB under the other

Well, in the early days, I used to worry about these things. And we need to set the girls a good example - they get easily distracted....^^

Ahem!
Lol, Tim, lol, Kevyn. To be precise, a CS80 weighs 16 stone... The Roadies probably know that all too well.
I'm not a purist, but there are a certain few sounds that a Tyros cannot make, that's all.
