So there I was last night engrossed in a fantastic film ,already given great critical acclaim throughout Hollywood and around the globe, called skateland(currently showing on sky premier hd.)

A great party scene was building when all of a sudden one of the characters cranked up the volume and the party erupted with everyone dancing........don't you just love it when you hear the mighty ATF when you least expect it?

Nice chunky ATF credit during the end titles and along with the rest of the soundtrack and film as a whole I retired to bed really happy.

Definately watch it if you can ........oh and another band featured that I hadn't heard for ages was Broken English....don't suppose anyone else remembers them?

MarkXXXX

PS Hope you were weighed out for this one Banksy .

Don't really remember Modern English, but I do remember Mordern Romance.  Who could forget "Queen of the Rapping Scene"? featuring Bev Sage, the wife of the late, great Steve Fairnie (Writz, Fish Co etc.).

See link below if you don't!

Did they do "Stool Pidgeon" as well?

Oh and "I I I I Moosey?"

I, of course, meant Modern Romance, not the band from the
bottom of the Northern Line.

Que? I know nothing!!! Presumably they used Der Komm?

We never get told about these things beforehand, always
find out by chance... don't mind though, as long as our
songs get played somewhere, it's very cool indeed!

Any more info gratefully rec'd...

http://www.pronetworks.org/index.php/independent_films/post/ my_review_of_skateland_at_2010_sundance_film_festival/

This a good independent review although there was overwhelming good reviews and the soundtrack was hailed as the "soundtrack of our lives" for those that were around ,growing up at the time which I agree with.

Other than that have a watch.....yes it was Der Komm but the position of the use of the track is priceless in my view as it really makes the party seem more upbeat in an instance .I know I'm biased but this is really something the band should be chuffed with as it proves the bands importance in blockbuster movies even today.

Good detection work Dominion

Not seen Skateland, but will look out for it.

So far I have heard Der Kom on Family Guy, Friends and The Wedding Singer. Does anyone know of anymore?

Der Kommissar was on a TV series from about 5 years ago called The Nowhere Man.  Scrubs also made a blink-and-you-missed-it joke about Der Kommissar, but don't ask me which episode it was!
