Many thanks to Peter, John, Matt and Ian for a fantastic evening.

Cheers for the chat in the bar Peter.  It meant a lot.

It was great to hear so many old favourites played live again and to be at my fourth ATF gig.  It has been a long time since the Dominion in 1982 (when I was 16!!!)

And wasn't Jazmine excellent too.

Martyn

yep great gig
i took along my 12 year old sun he wanted to hear joy sat on the front row 4 the second half so he got a good view ( and better sound )
it was nice to have a quick chat with pete and john between sets
my brother and his wife also went she has never heard of after the fire before
but also had a good time

the only thing i did not enjoy so much was there was a bit to much semi unplugged for my liking when i went to the soapbox gig it was all as it was in the old days and that is what i remember best about the 30 or so times i went to see the band
greenbelt and late 79 being the best times

and what a suprise at the end

Andy and Ivor coming on for 2 songs!!!

shame they are only able to make it last night

Farncombe was great - loved the new arrangements (new since I last heard ATF 30 years ago anyway) Sound was great - especially sound of the drum kit.

sang along to Das K on the way home - not pretty

will gather a gang for the next tour - and bring the next generation

Really enjoyed the Farncombe gig last night. Good friendly atmosphere as the church setting enabled interaction (although restricted movement and the big gap in the middle broke the atmosphere a bit). Not that I could move much anyway, having had a painful cricked neck all day but I wasn't going to miss it!

Pete & John sounded good sharing Lead Vocals - though slight loss of BVs as a result.
I generally preferred it when the electric guitar was strapped on but some of the acoustic arrangements worked - just lost the impact of lead riffs sometimes (not loud enough to stand out).
Did anyone note a set list?
There were a couple I didn't identify, particularly a longer one in the first set.

There was a, er, more senior, lady from the church who has been going to all the gigs put on by this fairly new Music Club (BTW - Bryn Haworth in Feb!), had never heard of ATF but told me after that she was exhausted from clapping along.

Will any of gigs be filmed? It's a bit different from "you had to be there" with the new arrangements.

i agree we sat on the left hand side to start with the sound was crap so i moved to the back and stood up with my son the sound was much better there

the biggest problem we had in the second half was the seats they were so uncomfortable they did turn the sound up though
