This Saturday (18th August) ATF are playing the free Hobrooks Festival in Coventry.
The Fest Takes place in Holbrooks park on Holbrook Lane and it all kicks of at 1pm. There's some stunning acts and ATF headline at 4pm (festival time!)

Can you confirm 4pm slot for ATF? I thought it was originally 8pm, or did I make that up? Can you just turn up for ATF - they're on a bit earlier than I thought. And how do you get there?

Don't know how often Rob looks at the forum but this is what I have..
This will be a full band gig, we are on stage for 45 minutes at 4:15pm in
the afternoon, so not even a late night!
For you GPS and Google users the postcode is: CV6 4DE
Might be worth checking the Holbrook Festival website for updates.

O poo! Domestic arrangements mean I can't make that time. And I'm out of the country when you're back in Coventry later in the year. I can't believe it. You're doing more gigs, and I can't get along to any of them! I am gutted!!!! I was really looking forward to this Saturday when I thought time slot was in the evening! I hope it goes brilliantly and that the rain holds off!

We got there at 3:40pm - 35 minutes before the due time - to find out you'd STARTED. John said afterwards that two bands hadn't turned up! What can I say about the afternoon except it was, er ...Wet Wet Wet. It was so rainy even the band were singing 'Help!' (so I was glad it WAS raining). Anyhow, where WAS everyone, except a few devotees? Obviously, the weather put paid to the event organisers' hoped-for attendance from Holbrooks locals, which was understandable. However I thought ATF Friends' attendance was somewhat, er, on the light side; Banksey and Co need appreciation and encouragement! Despite this, it was a great set, perfect for the 45 minute allowed slot. I'd never heard 'Der Kommissar' done THAT way before, and as an 'intro' to the best-ever 'Laser Love'. Well done ATF for supporting a community event, touching to hear in Pete's tribute how Pete King was a Coventry boy, taken at 29 (so the rain seemed somewhat appropriate at that point). Look forward to hearing you again in November.

Cheers for your kind message and apologies for the early start... very much circumstances beyond our control and actually prevented a complete cancellation of our bit! Regardless, we felt bad for the loyal devotees that then missed part of our performance.
Despite the conditions we had fun on stage and were pleased to support the event. We felt desperately sorry for the team that obviously had worked so hard to put it all together.
Hope you will be able to come and see us in the Autumn and we really hope to see a lot more folk then, you are absolutely correct, we do need encouragement and support to keep the ATF ball rolling!

Well.... First off, ATF were stunning on Saturday. A brilliant set I thought. Highlights for me were Der Kommissar into Laser Love and Joy. I was running about organising other bands and trying to stop the festival people pull the plug early. Such a shame about the weather but I thought the mud made it a real festival! As soon as i get hold of some pics I'll post them up somewhere...
I am sorry to all the devotees that came along halfway through the set. I can promise that the gig in November is going to be on time and in the dry!
See you at Greenbelt.
Rob
