You cannot imagine how chuffed I am with the reforming of ATF - the gigs i saw as a student at Bath Uni are still vivid in my mind.

Anyway, I used to have a recording of an ATF gig done by the BBC, featuring a truly monumental performance of Life In The City and Billy, Billy. Is it possible to contact the BBC and get permission to release this recording? Believe me, it will be worth the effort.

i tjhink we have been down this avenue before and the bbc have said the recordings don't exist

anybody else confirm this

i have a good copy of the set they did with u2

They did a gig for 'Rock goes to College'. I did have a cassette version but the tape disappeared some time ago. I also would like to hear/see it again, great gig.

The '79 Broadcast has been re-broadcst in parts over the last 2 or 3 years on BBC six music, the last time being just before the Friends Re-union last year.
