This is the best start to the day we can imagine.

Oh, what's that?  Got to go to the bank, do the shopping, the hoovering etc.  Never mind.  They can wait.  Got to listen to over 180 mins of great music.

Good News / Band News

The bad news is the Bonus CD is now completely sold out as of evening of Sunday 30th January 2005. The good news is that it's great so many folk are into ATF!

All new orders from now for the CBS Recordings Double CD will not receive the Bonus CD - sorry.

Yes, I think that are the normal anomalies that goes along when you master a CD from the vinyl LP as source material. But it's probably the best sound you can do when have no mastertapes or copies of that. I like especially that harmonic distortion of vacuum tubes in the high frequencies.

I think we have to think about to have (again) some anger looking at CBS/Sony music for not giving away original sources ! But again: the sound is good - decrackling, declicking and noise reduction very ok. Other opinions ?

Edsel mastered all the tracks from vinyl, done by Peter Rynston of Tall Order.

I am presuming that Sony charge a heavy amount to drag the master tapes out and bake them.

Pretty good going that all the extra CDs were sold before the release date! That wouldn't constitute a record (no pun intended) would it?!

Do we know if the colectables CD was taken from the original master tapes, or from vinal?
