My favorite memory is the 80f tour.

Traveling down from "Up North" with my brother to Maxwell Hall Aylesbury.

Arriving early we hear the lads doing a sound check and hearing Starflight/Take Me Higher "gig version"  for the first time and blowing us away.

Also getting back into the car afterward totally shattered and were that hot the car steamed up instantly.

Hi all. I can vividly remember chasing around GB79 with armfuls of records trying to find The Lads. I seem to remember a marquee full ATF merchandise and people buying up two or three copies each of a dwindling supply of SoC. Outside the guilt would get the better of them and they'd sell them (at no extra cost I may add) to downcast people who'd missed the boat.

I also remember the thump of Thunderbirds over the PA and ATF taking the crowd by storm. Never seen so many people in one place and I still remember watching them and dreaming how amazing it must feel to be up there with them.

Funny how life turns out!!

I only saw ATF when they played at the main hall at the University of Bath (official fire limit was for 800, and probably well-exceeded).  I remember being confused when one of my course-mates said to another that I had their first album, and didn't know whether he knew about 'Signs' or not.  I guess not.  The band were great and LOUD.  They did a medley (of their own songs) that they announced as 'Out of the Box' (I think) - perhaps following the trend of 'Stars on 45' which was popular at the time.  It contained a brief snippet of the 'One Rule' introduction, which was not otherwise played.
