Hi all,

Just for another record : There was a new DVD from german band BAP released last week. It's called "dreimal zehn Jahre" and Pete King is featured on 2 tracks (from 31). The 2 Songs are in full playback style, 1986 performed in 2 german entertainment shows (with ridiculous stage decorations).

I hope that a very great concert with Pete from March 86 (shown live in whole Europe) will be released in future within the "Rockpalast in  concert" series .

Can you tell us which Bap albums Pete actually featured on?

Unfortunately Pete is not playing drums on any BAP album. The story is, that Bap have had lots of internal problems during the recording sessions of "Ahl Männer, aalglatt" and drummer Jan Dix left. A tour was scheduled and decisions were necessarily. Producer Mack suggested Pete as known for his sensational performance during E.L.O. tour 82 as perfect man. Rehearsals were being made very quickly. It was a long tour enduring some month starting march 1986. I went on to 5 dates just to see Pete (and some BAP) and the concerts lasted averaging 2h45mins.

The only record in my opion with Pete in BAP is a double live album following a german protest event against nuclear politics (two mont after Tschernobyl). 250.000 people attendance - the album "WAAhnsinn" as a musical documentary.

BAP bandleader Wolfgang Niedecken was very shocked about the death of Pete and he wrote the song "flüchtig" for him in which he regrets that he didn't get to know Pete very well, although he liked him and there was more to come. "Flüchtig" is on the 88 BAP record "Da capo". Their greatest hits cd "Wahnsinn - hits 79-95" was dedicated to the memory of Pete King.

hope that answers some questions

Good evening everybody,

In the 1st posting in this topic I mentioned a BAP concert with Pete King as drummer. Finally time has come for a DVD release. "BAP - Rockpalast: Grugahalle 15.03.1986" will be released by EMI music germany on december 12th. The concert is 170 mins. long and inbetween encores there's a brief interview with the band.

Shame on me that I'm writing this while ATF are on stage , but I hope that information was of someones interest.

Hi DIdi

Any post is better than no post, and you were thinking of the band while they were playing.

Anyone any other news about ex members of the band? I talking with Tim Hatwell recently!

Hey Starbie, watch it! Some of us remember last century and the band first time round! When Parka's originally came out (and for some they are still wearing the originals from the wardrobe, next to the red hotpants, ask your mum). When CD's were advertised as something from the future and with treacle on would still play. When foreign travel meant outside Yorkshire!

You were not even a dream in Timies and Mrs Timies teacups!

You had Black and white telly! Luxury, we had to make do with watching clothes go round in laundrette, when it reversed we thought that was the channel changing! We were that poor we even spelt Hull with out the H to save blood from us little finger as we etched on't stone flag we used for paper. Skeggy is a foreign country anyway, that is just a comment and not a Yorkshire thing!!
