I've just watched a video of the Greenbelt 79 film, and I wonder what happened to the ATF footage that wasn't used - right at the end of the bit with them in (Laser Love) they just start "Check it out" when it ends? It would be well worth seeing - ATF at Greenbelt 79 is still thr best gig by any band I've ever seen beofre or since.

Pete has spoken to the film company and all additional material has been lost.

The fireworks were from the end of the set and cut into Laser Love.  They filmed the whole ATF concert and many more.

Still worth the money - they captured the whole scene and feeling of the festival.

Can be purchased online here.

Mick,

Are you able to confirm what ATF stuff is on the video, and if the record is the same?  Is the video stereo?

Are there any more little goodies like this you can put us on to?

Cheers!  Peter

Will check if stereo tonight.

Few places to look for records:

Netsounds - put "After The Fire" in artist search - 286 items found!! UK Site
Gemm - US site - can be a touch random

Watch out for:

  • Love Will Always Make You Cry 7" - Epic S EPC 8394. Unreleased demo of  from the unreleased 80-f album and has different intro. NOT Epic EPC 8942!!
  • 12" Life In The City - CBS 12 8057
  • One Rule Promo Pack - White sleeve with single & release notes.
  • One Rule/Time To Think - fancy dress giveaway - White label & number stamped X101 recorded live at the Rainbow in 79.
  • Signs Of Change - RR001 - average asking price about £120.
  • 12" 8 Ball CBS A 13 3930 - canceled but released to shops in error.
  • Der Kommissar LP - with original One Rule, Starflight & Dancing in the Shadows - withdrawn!!
  • XPR 104 - 4 track 80-f sampler.  cant remember what is on it!!

There are a few other bits - lots of imports of which Sternenflugg 12" is the most noteable.

Hope this helps.  Good hunting & let us know if you uncover something different.

Cor, I just had a shufty of that Netsounds site and it was incredible!  Stuff I've never heard of.  Didn't realise the first Der Kommissar LP was a rarity - I'll treat that more delicately from now on!  Cheers Mick!
