    Hello All,

Well I'm glad I've found you after all these lonely years of listening to A.T.F. on my own!!!

Have loads of questions to ask(most of which are probably asked by all new members)

Dominion farewell gig was the last show I went to and I'm really dissapointed to have missed the re union shows having looked at the website about 3 years ago after seeing a poster in a pub in brentwood ,essex claiming that After The Fire were playing there that night.Needless to say the band were total imposters and nothing new had been posted on the website for ages.I assumed nothing was happening. Then I met a long lost friend who gave me a copy of the greenbelt reunion cd which has lead me to you.So on with the predictable questions.

Gigs.Any on the horizon, and if not then why not?

I noticed the A.T.F aid letter,I'm happy to let all my atf vinyl, test pressings etc be auctioned for charity(especially if the shop is still going and I can now get cds etc.)

How many active members/friends are about nowdays?

Are any current band members involved in the forum?

I could go on all night as I'm most excited about all this new stuff. It's like finding a mate you lost touch with and never thought you would ever see again!!

     Cheers

Hi

You are very welcome here.

To answer a few questions of yours.

Gigs- due to Matt off to Africa and starting a drumming course (not sure he can get better) the band are taking a bit of a break this year.

Friends - We have nearly 300 board members, some hardcore posters as you will see.

Involvement - All the band members visit the site and frequently post.

Your vinyl would help in the autions.  Email me and I will put you in touch with Pete if he does not contact you before.

Welcome, Friend. Now we have a Dominion. Unlike death, of course. This forum is the vocal side of an extensive collection of ATF fans, some babyboomers, and many younger ones too. Whichever you are old, fat, ugly .... we love you.

Jules

.. hey, why don't we name ourselves as ATF venues as well ..... I would like to be Berkley.

Good idea Julian.  I want to be Marquee.  The December 1979 gig was not just my favourite ATF gig, but my favourite gig by any band.  Even though they didn't play anything from Signs of Change.

I would like to be Wembley Stadium. I know the boys haven't been there yet but I only have big dreams. Supported by Larry Norman and the Norman Barrett Band.

Well GB84 was pretty close then, with Larry's set following Andy's. The atmosphere was tremendous.

Have I ever mentioned once having a chat with Andy and Steve Fairnie at Gb once, backstage, when Larry came up to us and started talking about something. He went on and on about it, and then left, leaving us all baffled. There was a pause, then Fairnie said, "He's gone, isn't he."

So call me Cromwell then, after the Norwich venue played in Nov 80.
