Well everyone, those of us who couldn't get there are waiting for a full report. No gloating though as it was bad enough missing the gig!

Yep, I had to console myself with an evening of listening to ALL of my ATF music and watching the Greenbelt DVD, but I must admit I enjoyed myself immensely!!! .........Can't wait for the Halesworth gig...bird-flu permitting!!!!

Who else is hoping to go to The Cut? It would be good (presumably!!) to be able to put  faces to some of the names on this site!!

LOLuv, Maggie <><

I'll let someone else post a full account.  But it was an evening of two halves and lets just say Pilgrim, Here on my Island, Take Me Higher and Help!!

What an evening.

Hello to Harrow!

I cant believe that I somehow managed to get the wrong address for the church and arrived an embarrasingly Embarrassed45 minutes late (just in time to catch Take Me Higher) and then the interval. How-ever I was made to feel welcome by those who I met at that point.

Great to hear John taking lead vocals bringing back more of the "old" ATF sound to the performance. Thoroughly en"Joy"able evening with the highlights including an incredibly polished guitar solo in Billy Billy, Help! and the majestic Pilgrim, sang brilliantly by Peter .

I thought there was more ATF soul in this performance - a real feeling for the music and I hope that things continue in this direction. The fellas did great & I hope even more people are there at the next show. I guess there were 150-200 people at Harrow.

Also thanks to all those involved in organising the event. Would have liked a bigger sound but I hear the PA was stuck in Birmingham (not Paris).

Mark

Many thanks to all those who were able to come to the gig in Harrow on
Saturday. A real success for both the band and the AidTF/SoapBox
Maasai Water project.

I particularly want to say a big thank you to Rob Halligan who not only
paid to be there but sang a Show of Hands song with us called "Are We
Alright?"

So the cat is finally out of the bag! Pete and I are sharing the vocals which
as Mark observed - thank you for your kind words, Mark - brings a more
original ATF authenticity to the sound and more of the ATF heart and
soul. That's exactly what we are seeking to achieve. Great to hear you
sensed it too.

The ATF sound has constantly sought to reinvent itself under Peter's
guidance over the 35 odd years and there's a lot of material to draw from.
My guess is that the sound will continue to evolve as we explore what is
possible.

Right! Off to Africa now with the day job! Namibia first, then Kenya. Back
next Sunday. Think of me I don't really relish spending half the week in
airport lounges and in the air.

Warm regards,

John

Cheers for having me mate. Made me feel ever so young

First time i've seen the band live and aprt for the PA being a bit on the quiet side - no-ones fault and i hear the PA guy did a stella job in pulling it all together  - it was a stunning evening.

Well, still waiting for a full review! Hope the ipod has batteries included for all those airports! We will be waiting for the sun here on our island but still full of joy, and there is a slight chance I may get to the next gig.

A fantastic evening. Great to see so many people I hadn't seen since the Cranleigh gig. You can be on your own when you walk in but then you find your amongst "friends". I never thought I'd be watching After the Fire with a cup of tea in my hand - couldn't find Chloe's cakes though? I think she was fleeced!

Oh yes and sorry Peter.....after we bumped into each other in the male only area I did find out the Dagenham and Redbridge score but I thought it best not to tell you!
