And now, Here on my Island. Well, its got something about it, but I think it'll take a few listens to really get on to the wavelength. We're really being  treated to something a bit different here - even from Signs of Change style. Its a bit like sailing through a test, and then getting to a rather more complex question! I get the impression it was quite visual - in a sort of dramatic way. ..? It gets musically awesome shortly before the 8 minute mark. A.P.'s vocal versatility just grows as we see the wider picture (it is him, isn't it?).

Thanks for an interesting track. I'll let it become "legendary", as described, as I listen to it the next few times. Smile

Was Low Lights prophetic??  I have just heard on the news that Coventry is to be the first city to replace all of its street lights with lights that are dimmable!

If I was in charge of street lighting in
Coventry I'd want it to be dimmable! Ditto
Basildon, Stevenage, Rhyl...

Here on my Island was probably the big crowd-pleaser pre-Pilgrim. It dropped out of later sets and didn't make it onto Signs.

During the torrential rain at Greenbelt 76, the lines "Here on my island the sun always shines" and "I hate the rain" were greeted with much mirth and gaity by the sodden punters. That's sodden.

Surely Here on my Island was prophetic ... and retrospective, too, I suppose!

Now its getting to me! (three listens).Masterfully sung, with a powerful text     between the lines. Interesting to learn about life before Pilgrim. (You don't have to be so old to remember rain & mud at Greenbelt however - I remember mud flowing through the tents at Knebworth...even if I never saw ATF there.
