We often talk about what we like about ATF and the back catalogue. But, which ATF song would you consider to be your least favourite? Which track were you tempted to skip on their albums? Or that maybe went on to long, or whatever. Be honest.
I think Stuck in Paris is mine. It doesn't fully gel for me, and I think it would have been a stronger album without it.

I have to confess I'm not keen on Wild West Show. I find it a weak song - although Rob obviously has fun with it, and I seem to remember A.P. shooting off a revolver or two.
(just noticed I'm a groupie now. Never expected that at 47!)

Hey Seagull, join the club ! We are still young enough to be groupies !
You will change your mind about Wild West if you see Rob doing it live.

Thanks for the encouragement Zippy. Is it the 47 club you mean, or the Groupies? Of course I wouldn't dream of actually asking your age, (although I do recall some reference to Spam and school meals in 1979, which is telling..!)
But let us not incur the wrath of Jules, the Night Gnome by twaddling. Which ATF track are you not so keen on (if any)??

This is not a Fail but.....
One rule for you (trade justice) version gets on my nerves a bit
I know it was done with the best intentions but for me it has taken the edge off the original song

I have to agree with the above in that Wild West Show, isn't the strongest song. That is not to say I wouldn't want to see the original demo on the download site. As an album track it's fine but for a single release it didn't seem right. Like wise Frozen Rivers is a good album track but as a single relaese I don't think was the greatest for an assult on the charts.
However the one song song at the bottom of my playlist would have to be Every Mother's son.
With hindsight of the releases of recent years and being able to hear tracks that were stored away one does wonder why, Operator, or Satellite in Orbit never came out as b sides. But then the question to debate is if the Tony Mansfield production of 80F had been released would Wild West Show, Joanne, or Why can't we be friends?, have made it to vinyl?

I meant to say I agree with our friend in the north about one rule

From the back cat.Gina,...got very bored with Der Komm as well but as a testament to the greatness of atf songs a good example of how good they are is on the bbc issues I would defy any track skipping on those gigs.!!!
ATF2 had some poor stuff stand by me.Really grates and you can tell the writing is on the wall at that point.
Good topic this though...the forum needs atf thought provoking stuff like this to intersperse with the hum drum of work...and alot of the threads have gone off topic and become boring and too personal recently.
Anyone know where the term "hum Drum" originates?

Hey Seagull, yes, both clubs, 47 and Groupie. My age doesn't bother me ! (I think Dominion thinks we are boring and too personal )
I am not sure, being ATF fans, that we should be discussing what we don't like about ATF !
Anyway the song that I used to skip was The Stranger.
Timestar, I love the Trade Justice version of One Rule.
Mike_1stgear..... Rich Kids. Didn't they used to be a boy band in the 70's ?!
