Hi All,

First posting on this Forum................Is anyone here planning on going to the gig at the Alice Bacon Centre in Normanton in December? It'll be my first ATF gig in 30 years!! Serves me right for living far from the normal Stamping Ground! So will be harnessing up the huskies and travelling south for a few days, gathering up my god-daughter and family en route and initiate them into the ATF sound.

Lizzie

Wow Lizzie, first ATF gig for 30 years, that's exciting!!

We won't be going to that one, but hope you have a great time.

Btw, welcome to the Forum!

Jennie

Hi, Lizzie, and welcome

Which was your last ATF gig?

Hope there's plenty of snow for the huskies!

hello lizzie - welcome

yes myself, my wife and my eldest son will be making our way over to Wakefield in December to take in the gig.

perhaps we can have a facebook/forum meet before the gig.

Are you on facebook? if so join up with the ATF group there too.

Rob who is organizing the gig needs all interested peeps to commit and buy tickets in advance to assure the band that making the trip "up north" will not leave them out of pocket.

Hi All,

Thanks for the kind words of welcome, ladies and gentlemen.

Seagull: my last gig was 7th November 1980 in the Debating Hall of Birmingham University. Although I was a student there, I'd forgotten my Guild card and had to be signed in by a member of the Model Railway Soc. - the shame of it!! Oh, by the by......I still have the poster for the night and will willingly donate it to the ATF Museum, if the Curator wishes. For those who are interested in such things tickets were £1.75 in advance and £2.00 on the night.

Timestar: would love to meet up before hand, but I shall be travelling to other folks' schedule and with two under 18s a bar would be difficult. We'll see you at the gig. Please reassure Rob....3x adult and 2 x children tickets already bought and printed out!! So, if your maths and mine agree that will be 8 of us, plus blokeattheback....is that enough for a quorum?

Lizzie

I'll be there.

Wife and son aren't coming this time, so it's just me and an old school friend.
