Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but I have always detected a certain similarity between Dancing in the Shadows and Dancing in the Moonlight by Thin Lizzy, and wondered if this was deliberate. My question: a) Am I the only person in the world who thinks this? or b) is it something that's so well understood that nobody even bothers mentioning it? Either way, I've never heard anybody else draw the comparison, so what do you others think or know about it?

There is an obvious parallel between Andy Piercy and Phil Lynott - both lead singer/bass players with some similarities in vocal style (but not lifestyle!) If Phil Lynott wasn't dead I might have wondered if A.P. had  a secret alter ego!

See if you can keep to the subject for at least two answers! (You know who you areWink)

Me ?!  No you can't mean me !!

I have not concidered the comparison between Shadows and Moonlight. Will have to give them a side by side listen tomorrow, when my brain is awake! Lizzy were a great band, loved the songs. Two lead singers/bass players/same hair style !! Oh have I deviated !!

No, but your punctuation is a bit questionable! Smile

(maybe I shouldn't have said that...)

Don't know anything about punctuation. Is it something to do with Punch & Judy ?!

I cannot see the connection between the Shadows and moonlight! Maybe the shadows had a great guitarist who wears glasses but as for a box of chocolates? Was AP the one who dangled from helicopters and skied over houses to deliver the chocolates to a mystery woman and then disappear before she discovered him? Up here in the north we call it breaking and entering! although to leave something would be unusual! Anyway these days I go to Thorntons! although, for the benefit of fair advertising, other chocolates are available, well maybe not Cadbury's for much longer!! So, in a roundabout - sorry that is Yes - er, in a drift of my mind, as it does drift around a lot, not that anyone ever notices, Zippy, what was the question again?
