This is a chestnut question. It may have been asked before. Excuse me if it has.

Does anyone know why ivor left the band?

Was it because he collapsed on stage - or was that record company propaganda??

Or was it because of work commitments?

And now for the facts!

Ivor just wanted out of the band and told us on the eve of our 40 date UK tour.  He did collpase on stage (in Scotland) and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance with us all seriously worried he had experienced a heart attack. He was unable to continue the tour, on medical advice, and the next day we were due in Ireland. We drafted in Nick Brotherwood as we had auditioned him already in between tour dates and managed to continue the irish leg of the tour before Ivor was back up to playing the rest of the dates when we returned to the UK.

thanks pete. we always wondered if it was true or not. thanks for filling the cracks in the wall.

please, please, PLEASE! come up north, maybe to the manchester friends reunion if it happens!

we were unable to come to greenbelt/soapbox gigs due to the distance involved and want to hear atf2 in action.

once again, thanks & we still think atf are the best! and your keyboard wizardry rocks.
