Hi Most Excellent ATF Forum Members,
Can I ask a big favour of you. My daughter is studying Media and
Advertising at Coventry University and has her dissertation coming up.
She has asked for help on some research she is undertaking, which
means watching some video clips and filling in a questionnaire online.
Thing is she needs some more responses in the ahem..cough.. over 40
age group!
I and she would be extremely grateful if you would have a go at this. It
takes about 10-minutes.
WARNING: Some of the videos, which are on road safety are a bit
gruesome.
Many thanks,
John
Here is her email with the details:

Hello there,
Please can you do me the hugest favour in helping me to pass my
degree?!
I am doing my dissertation on whether fear-persuasion road safety shock
advertising is effective in a modern, media satuated society, and in order
to complete my research I need your help.
This will only take a few moments of your time so please can you
complete two short, simple questionnaires?
Please start with 'Road Safety Questionnaire One' and then watch the 5
adverts before completing 'Road Safety Questionnaire Two (Post-advert
exposure)'.
Your answers will be completely confidential and will help me immensely.
I really appreciate your help and if you could forward this email to others
too then that would be extra awesome :-)
NB: Please note, some of the advertisements contain images that viewers
may find disturbing and morbid. Some clips include realistic footage of
road accidents and may be distressing.
Apologies if anyone is upset or offended by what they see.
The purpose of these advertisement campaigns is to make people aware
of the dangers of unsafe driving and hopefully prevent future incidents.
Please view seriously.
All advertisement have been created for public viewing purposes. Some
would be post-watershed.
Please also note the adverts use video streaming sites such as YouTube.
If you think you may be disturbed by the following ads then please do
not feel obliged to take part.
To begin, please click on the link below to fill out the first questionnaire:

And I was thinking Simon Mayo was the only one getting people to do other peoples homework! Has he played ATF on his new radio 2 drive time show yet? I haven't heard one up to now, we need to push him! Can anyone suggest a track to recommend? Friday is request day.

Apparently he was asking for songs with at least two german words in the
other day.
Seems to me that Der Kommissar would fit the bill nicely. There's at least
two, not including the count in!

Dance of the Marionette, ofcourse, has afew German words in it - if you have the volume up loud enough to catch them in the pause.

Just been checking on Marionette. It sounds like "Einz, zwei, try harder" although I always previously assumed it was "einz, zwei, drei.. & something sounding like Strada or Father! Is the first interpetation correct? Anyway, that's still two German words, which qualifies it for Simon Mayo.

I guess Shoot and Goal did contain the odd German! I was always a Shoot man myself, that and Anglers times. Dreaming of warm summer days, fishing from first light and then football in the afternoon. Watching the the legendary Charlton, Best and Law score against my beloved Huddersfield Town. The last time the would all score in the same game, what a privilege.
