Hello one and all,

Does anyone or has anyone read the Classic Rock magazine.

I am extremely dissapointed that they have not reviewed the bbc re issue cd or mentioned the band since their re formation.

I have e mailed them on numerous occasions and thought it a dead cert that they would feature the new cd along with the current band situation.

This mag has such a massive readership and I have gone to see many a re formed band (with much less of a track record than ATF) that they have featured who I otherwise had all but forgotten about.

It strikes me that if publications like this who pre dominantly feature classic older bands do not even mention ATF then how do people have their memories refreshed and re gain interest in the current band as we have?

I mentioned on the John Otway forum that I was going to see atf on the last tour and a couple that were also on the forum seemed over the moon that ATF were still going and went to their nearest venue to see them, subsequently thanking me as they loved the gig.

I dont expect publications to be queuing to do ATF features but am really ,really upset that Classic Rock have not given a mention.

Anyone who feels the same, and I think it is the principle that matters foremost here ie "classic",then e mail classic rock magazine and have a controlled vent.

The guys past and present deserve it and I am sure it will mean more faces at gigs, more momentum for the current line up equalling more cost effective tours etc.........everyones happy.

Sorry to go on but thanks for reading the rant.

I think Classic Rock would feature 'Signs Of Change' at some point but the later material isn't really suitable for Classic Rock.

But u2,cheap trick, the sparks, men at work, devo, omd plus loads and loads more are.???????

Besides the sleeve notes on the cd are by a writer for classic rock.....and the shows were"rock goes to college"

If ATF are NOT classic rock then someone please tell me ....WHAT THEY ARE before I blow a gasket.

PS Why would signs of change be featured in classic rock and not classic progressive rock which is their other publication?

Mark,(ATF aren't POP), W

Thanks PB

I've calmed down now having read that....like you say very fair indeed.

Not a bad website.....spent an hour looking at it and am now running late...

Cheers as always,
