Just like to say a big thanks to all involved with putting last nights show on.

I thought the band looked very relaxed and enjoying playing. Good to hear the new old songs live, and for myself hearing some of the very old songs live for the fisrt time.

Good to chat with a few faces that are becoming familiar at the gigs, and meet with some new ones.

I was beginning to think, there, that no-one else had been at The Cut last
night. Gina, for me, was the most extraordinary 90 seconds; nothing
wrong at all with a synthesiser but a grand piano has a wonderful
presence on stage unless you have to move it there.

Well all you hardcore ATF fans, where's all the reviews and pics for those of us stuck in South London and couldn't make it to outer Suffolk?

Glad you all had such a great time!

Pics will be with the webmaster soon.  The gig was amazing and pleased even the hardened critics.

Yet another guest vocalist - this time on "Here On My Island".

Missed Chloe though.

WOW....that was a superb evening at The Cut. The venue was great and there was a really friendly atmosphere. But what a band!! Once a pro, always a pro, you were amazing musically and the programme was really well-thought out and not totally predictable!! I felt that I was listening to a band that was moving on and maturing (think as in wine, not wrinkles!!!). Just loved hearing all the "old" songs again, but particularly enjoyed the AT2F music and the Show of Hands number. The vocals seemed very authentic ATF (that shouldn't have been a surprise really!!). Also thoroughly enjoyed the medleys, Pete on piano and guitar and John on ukulele, all of which was unfamiliar ATF territory for me.  Matt and Ian just seem to have been in the band since day one, but somehow bring a freshness and vitality to the overall performance.

As an avid ATF fan I was expecting to enjoy myself, but that will go down as a "special" for me.......if there was a CD or a DVD available of the event I'd advise everyone to snap up both of them!! I could go on, but I don't want to rub it in for those who were unable to get there (I'm still sore from unexpectedly having to miss the Harrow gig!!) I look forward to the next performances, but it was so good to listen just to ATF alone and with an appreciative audience!!

Glad to read that things went well and sorry I could not attend. How did the band find it?

I'll go along with everyone else - great bash at The Cut - made me feel old tho' -27 years since I last got to an ATF gig!

Question for Ian - watched the Greenbelt DVD for first time before Halesworth - did I detect a bit of "Third Uncle" by Brian Eno at the intro of (I think it was) Laser Love?

Hi Richard, welcome to the forums!! Know what you mean about feeling old, must be that long since I last saw them myself, lol.

When I find a moment I'll get the DVD out and have a look for what you mean - certainly I didn't mean to play anything by Brian Eno (mainly coz I've never really listened to any of his stuff!) but it'd be interesting to have a listen all the same.

Thanks for coming on Saturday, there was a really great atmosphere at The Cut and we all most definitely felt we were among Friends again!

See you at the next one...

Ian

Not a lot of people know this but Brian Eno's sister-in-law's sister was at
The Cut on Saturday.
