Did anyone go to the Billericay service at Emmanuel church on Sunday 29th March ?

If you didn't, then you missed something special.

My sister and I got up early to travel there in time for 10.45am, and are glad we did. It was very enjoyable and Pete, Rob and John did an excellant job. There was a good choice of hymns as well as the ATF songs, Nobody else but you, Carry me home, Billy Billy, Rob's You and the Beatles We can work it out (No, the Beatles weren't there!). I was singing along all the way through, although not sure anyone would want to hear me sing !

There was 'A thought from Rob Halligan', who shared a part of his life experience with us. I do have a question about that for you Rob. You explained how you ran a bit off the rails when you were younger, just wanted to know if you were called Rob Hooligan back then (oh, hope that doesn't stick, sorry if it does, please don't sue me) !!

If you are an ATF fan but not religious and thought this is not for you (ie. you are a rockabilly at heart, meaning to me that you are passed it!!), I would say try the next one. I think there may be another one in Bradwell in August09. It may not be for you, but then you may be surprised and like it, how will you know unless you give it a try.

Comments for discussion are invited at your earliest convenience. Please don't be shy. Stand up and be heard !!!!!

I'm waiting....................

Oh...... have I scared you all off now, must have been my singing !!

This is Zippy signing off for The ATF Weekly News and sending Hugs

We were there! (We'll have to cut down, we're turning into groupies! Embarrassed )

Wouldn't have missed it though, lovely service - joyful and lovingly crafted, mmm

Hey Sharpies

Glad you enjoyed the service too.

My sister keeps telling me we are turning into groupies also (is there an age limit for that !).

Well, if you don't cut down maybe we could all meet up at the next ATF show and make some noise. Unless its a church service that is, in which case we will have to make the noise afterwards !

Thanks for replying to my post, was starting to feel lonely...........

Your profile pic is a shark......... shouldn't you be sharkies !?!!!

And I got fed up of them zipping my mouth up !

Hey, where were you and Mr Nibs on Sunday ?

Be nice to Zippy or I will demote you to Sticky Bun !!

Ahhh, thanks for noticing that Zippy!  Thereby hangs a tale, and it's not about dangerous predators!!

When we were looking through the pictures, it just had to be a shark ... when we moved here our son's classmates misheard and thought his surname was Shark, so he was Sharkey for evermore!!

When we meet we'll easily recognise you by your round, white face     I've never heard of Zippy, Bungle, George or Geoffrey; must be showing my age.  (Greetings Sticky T btw.)  When we get to the stage where we don't reveal our age is the age limit for groupies infinity?!

Early Sunday morning greetings Sharpies and young Sharkey,

Zippy, George, Bungle and Geoffrey are all from a kids program from the mid 70's called Rainbow. Zippy (ie. Me) is orange (my profile pic was taken when I was sick, which is why it came out white!) and has a zip for a mouth, hence the name. Sort of like this   but with a zip for a mouth. As Mr Sticky T is a year younger then me I am sure that he watched it also !

Actually I think I went straight from watching Rainbow to being an ATF fan in '79 !

So, is there anyone else out there who went to Billericay last Sunday ? Or was it only Sharpies, Zippy and Dinky Dot !

PS: I need to give more thought to the question of groupies ages being infinity if we are at the stage where we don't mention our ages. By the way I am 21. Seriously, I never lie, well maybe, just a little, sometimes !! Hey we are back to ATF song titles again !
