Did anyone go to the Billericay service at Emmanuel church on Sunday 29th March ?
If you didn't, then you missed something special.
My sister and I got up early to travel there in time for 10.45am, and are glad we did. It was very enjoyable and Pete, Rob and John did an excellant job. There was a good choice of hymns as well as the ATF songs, Nobody else but you, Carry me home, Billy Billy, Rob's You and the Beatles We can work it out (No, the Beatles weren't there!). I was singing along all the way through, although not sure anyone would want to hear me sing !
There was 'A thought from Rob Halligan', who shared a part of his life experience with us. I do have a question about that for you Rob. You explained how you ran a bit off the rails when you were younger, just wanted to know if you were called Rob Hooligan back then (oh, hope that doesn't stick, sorry if it does, please don't sue me) !!
If you are an ATF fan but not religious and thought this is not for you (ie. you are a rockabilly at heart, meaning to me that you are passed it!!), I would say try the next one. I think there may be another one in Bradwell in August09. It may not be for you, but then you may be surprised and like it, how will you know unless you give it a try.
Comments for discussion are invited at your earliest convenience. Please don't be shy. Stand up and be heard !!!!!
I'm waiting....................
Oh...... have I scared you all off now, must have been my singing !!
This is Zippy signing off for The ATF Weekly News and sending Hugs
