Hey Mr Blokeattheback, please make sure that the lead synth solos are good an' loud.  The minimoog sound (eg. in Life in the City) makes the track, and is a real ATF trademark.  So please let us hear it!

Cheers

Neil (who will be wearing a Marshall amplifiers teeshirt and ATF fleece in Foxton on Saturday if you want to beat me up)

I haven't seen it yet.  My request to bring the keys forward in the mix stems from last year's gig in Hemel Hempsted, and also the Youtube clip from Leeds the other week.  Just putting in a banker for tonight really!  I'm sure it'll be fab.

...and indeed it was!  Most excellent mix, plenty of Mr Banks in there.  My griping clearly worked!

The volume was perfect too.  (It's not an age thing, honestly.  Even in my teens I moaned about gigs being too loud.  I even recall one Mr Piercy saying to the crowd at The Albany in Twickenham, circa 1979, "Right you lot, this one will make your ears bleed...".  Given that we were sat about 18 inches from the Hammond leslie cabinet, it was nearly no exaggeration.)

Seriously, *really* well done to the sound crew tonight - and this from a hyper-critical rock snob.

Thank you for those kind words.....that's the sort of thing that keeps us going when we're loading the van an hour after everyone else has left and facing a 100 mile drive to unload it again.....!

..and the weather wasn't very good for the 100 miles that I did.  Saw someone spin out of control on the A21 at 12:30am, lucky they did not hit us.
