Hi everyone

Really looking forward to Saturday.  It just so happens to be my birthday on Sunday so seeing ATF the night before is going to be special.  Looking back I cannot believe it's 27 years since the gig at the Dominion.  I think I still have a t-shirt somewhere, not that it would fit me these days!!

See You There

Martyn

I'm getting excited and I'm not even going! (having gone to the opening Leeds gig). I can tell you it's a great set, and I guess the end of tour gigs are extra-special. I don't suppose the hoards that were at the Dominion will re-appear (why NOT?). How many did go back then? Nonetheless, I look forward to hearing how many go in Godalming. Enjoy (any waverers reading this, without tickets yet, GO!!).

Found a photo the other day of me standing in front of the ATF poster from the Dominion concert in '82, that I used to have on my bedroom wall. Didn't get a tee shirt though. No money in those days !!

Hope to meet you tomorrow Martyn and any other forum members. I will be the one selling the CD's and wearing the ATF fleece, that is miles too big for me !

I will post a review for you lufcman80f. Although it may not be until Monday as I am going to the Billericay show on Sunday also. So you will get 2 reviews !

I went to the Burgess Hill gig and am still excited about tomorrows one !

Are you all asleep still ?!

Anyone got any reviews on the Godalming show last night ?

It was awful....ly excellent! Poor little me couldn't see though, had to stand on the chair at the back, but didn't spoil the evening. Thank you Julian for dancing at the back with me !

The sound was very good and I am still deaf and sore throat from singing.

Some funny looking guys in that Signs of Change support group (don't mean you Mr Blokeattheback, its the other 2 characters!!). Was excellent to hear live versions off the Signs of Change CD. I loved hearing a today, full length version of Pilgrim. If you haven't seen a show yet try and get to the last one today in Billericay, its really worth seeing these guys.

The first half of the ATF set made you get on your feet straight away and start jumping around (actually there were no chairs !) There was one guy who didn't stop his energetic dancing throughout the show and made me feel exhausted !!

Absolutely love the drumming in Bright Lights, excellent drumming Mr Turner, especially your solo bit. Thought it was a bit cruel that you just happened to be sitting under the................. oh, don't think I better say anything, don't want to spoil Rob's surprise for people who haven't seen the show and are coming today.

The first set finished with Dancing in the Shadows, and Life in the City, think I nearly broke my chair at this point, from jumping up and down !!!

John started off the second half with Sometimes, but before they could start singing, Pete, Tim & Ian put party hats on and started singing happy birthday to John, who I hear is 21 now,   while the audience let off party poppers.

The new song (actually don't think its new, I can remember them singing it last year), I think its called I Can Say, very rocky, I noticed people in the audience jumping around to it, so I think its a hit with the audience.

Wild West show was.............. wild !! If you have seen a show, you know what I mean.

Fantastic tinkling of the ivorys (or whatever they are made of!) Mr Banks, especially on Starflight.

I have still not heard Joy done live yet, am hoping that I will hear it today.

Show ended with Who's gonna love you, vocals courtesy of Rob and unsuspecting audience !

This years shows have not only been fantastic musically but very entertaining & energetic as well.

I now think that Rob must eat 3 Shredded Wheat for breadfast !!

Have to go now, need to get ready for Billericay, whoppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

This is Zippy signing of for ATF

A very evocative review. Anyone else with their versions? C'mon let's hear them!

Again, can I ask how many were there? Zippy's review almost suggests it was a crush, with the chair at the back the only way of seeing! However, I imagine triple figures would be okay and good.

'Not heard Joy done live yet'? Surely that was put right at the end of the tour, otherwise you'd have been fully justified in attacking Rob with his oil-can guitar. Joy is the best 'B' side since Leeds United's anthem 'Marching on Together' in 1972! I'm not lufcman80f for nothing. In fact, the only thing that's kept me going since the demise of LUFC in 2004 has been the re-emergence of ATF, also in 2004 (Dagenham and Redbridge FC).

I'm sure JOy was done at Foxton, but yet it was at Billericay also.

Great stuff, as Joy was the track that got me into ATF in the first place.

So where did you first hear Joy? From the B side of the single?
