Well chaps and chapesses

Saturday night has just become bearable again. Since the Doctor took his Tardis for a ride dropping Mrs Evans in the actors rest period, we have a new hero to talk marshmallows about. Robin 'the lockers' Hood. Wasn't it slightly better than Richard Greene of pre ATF days! I wonder if Persil will do a 'before and after' on those clothes! Was that a guest appearance of Charlie Dimmock watching Sir Titch of Marsh digging a ditch, and the Sheriff reminded me of Richard of Wilson before he turned too grumpy!

My fellow appreciators of good music please respond to this medieval revelry or I may request a visit from the yet to be heard servant Much to sing you to sleep each night until the next ATF gig, or maybe worse, send you one of my CDS!.

I think you could be right! Despite the less than complimentary previews I thought it was very promising!
And did you know that Stephen Lawhead (who writes some cracking novels) has just published the first of a new triliogy 'Hood' on same subject. Must be worth a look!

As a big Robin Of Sherwood fan, I was expecting it to be a pile of pants, but I enjoyed it!  My main gripes were (a) the girls' make-up, which was very 1980s (b) the arrows which Robin first shoots at the beginning, which were way too quick to be believable and (c) the thrown sword at the end, which was jaw-droppingly unbelievable!

I got that Hood book but haven't read it yet, although I'd agree that Lawhead is a cracking writer.  The cover blurb seems to suggest it's a bit mystical, like Robin of Sherwood, although it also seems to suggest that Robin comes from Wales!

The Hooded one from Wales! Mouth and soap please! Everyone knows he is a Yorkshireman who was let out on a missionary journey to the far south (Nottinghamshire). His grave is four miles from where I live near Mirfield. Wales indeed! Get your outer garment sir.

I didn't write it - don't shoot the coatless messenger!

I was listening to Classic FM on the way to work this morning and some bloke called John Russell won a DAB Digital Radio!  Didn't catch where he came from though!  Our JR I wonder...?

Ah yes, Torchwood.

Or perhaps it should have been called Angel - Series 6,  "in which Angel finds himself feeling a bit gay and living in Cardiff..."
