getlostdave, when you mentioned the "collectables" CD, did you mean the USA compilation from a couple of years back or the demos CD? Because if you meant the former, that's definitely taken from masters...

I guess that was made of the production copy from the U.S. "Kommissar" tape release.

Luckily - i'm not a hi-fi buff then - it sounds great on the laptop which has replaced the stereo.
Since CBS are sitting on the masters - to get it out at all is little short of a miracle.
So well done lads.
Now about tracking down that compilation with the Kommisar 12" on............

Agreed - well done. It's just great to have it all on CD at last!
Peter, that 12" version is on the Der Kommissar "Collectables" CD, which is available in the ATF shop...

There is more than one version of DK on 12". There is a totally terrible version (so called Dub version) and the true 12" mix from which the final 7" single was edited. You probably know that already....?

Indeed!
That dub mix is one of the two ATF songs which I never cared for, but for the sake of completeness, this is the only place you can find it, I believe...?
And in case you were wondering, the other ATF song I don't like is............a secret!

Hi all.
Just found this forum when doing some searching about the new
releases. I was on the Yahoo group for awhile but not active
recently.
Anyway, I found the CBS Recordings CD on amazon.com, and had ordered it
yesterday before I found out I could get it through the ATF site, so I
quickly cancelled my amazon.com order and got them through the ATF
site. :)
Anyway, what caught my attention is amazon.com is listing the CD as
being available February 15, but with a different track listing.
Is this a different version of the CD set?
