I'd love to hear Keith wrap his tonsils around some of these...Dark Side maybe?
Now that I've lived with the album for a few days, and had a chance to listen to it without distractions, I'd like to say a proper thank you, guys, for releasing this stuff. It may only be demos, but they're very good, and while many of the tracks are new to me, the sound/style/music/band line-up takes me right back 20+ years. Superb. It's cool to have this great music, and those demos on the limited CD last year (that dood who did the Helpless edit - what a guy!), and those demos on Signs, and the One Rule/Wildflower sessions - after many years with nothing, and nothing to hope for, we suddenly have lots of new ATF to listen to! It's great. And it's fascinating to listen to this stuff in sequence, and to see how the band developed/developes. Keep it coming!
Any further comments on the inspiration for the tracks, and can you remember whether you had any ideas on how (or if) you were going to develop the songs further? And Genz, listed as a bonus track: is that from the same sessions, or a different period altogether, or same period but perhaps not intended/discussed for inclusion with the album? And the track listing (1-10), was that as intended then, or sequenced after careful consideration now? (I'd be happy regardless of what the answer is to that last one - just be interested to know!)
Thanks!! Answers by 3.30pm Friday or you get detention.
...oh, and cheers for including Space Walking!
